Into The Woods with The French Gardener and A Cosy Blanket.

All the ‘How To Blog’ experts advise writing a catchy post title. You are going to be disappointed.

My younger girls and I had an expedition to Farran Woods this morning. We were out there pretty early and had the playground all to ourselves. It was lovely to have a swing with my baby. I generally dislike pictures of myself with the exception of those taken by my children.IMG_5132This is the view when you swing high and look back.IMG_5135The girls climbed trees, made dens and gathered specimens while I read my book in absolute peace.
IMG_5158I spotted a deer and sent the girls down to the pond to feed the ducks.IMG_5150Middle Girl attracts friendly woodland creatures like Snow White.IMG_5159By the time I caught up with her she had that deer, literally, eating out of her hand.IMG_5160IMG_5173IMG_5177While girls were occupied I managed to finish The French Gardener by Santa Montefiore. I say managed to finish because it really was a chore. I’ll say no more.IMG_5181Progress continues on the Cosy Blanket (Attic24). I’ve done a stripe in each of the 15 colours now.IMG_5086I would never, in a million years, have put all these colours together but I love them. The orange (spice) is particularly lurid in the ball but it stripes up really well.IMG_5087I suggested to Husband that it might make a nice scarf. He looked at me with an expression of  pure terror. Maybe a hat to match?
